Indian Meal Moth
This moth is 8 to 10 mm in size and when they spread their wings can be 16 to 22 mm. They have a variety of colors from bronze, dark gray, and some have a yellowish color to them. Females can easily lay from 60 to 400 eggs when it finds the appropriate food surface. They deposit their larvae in all types of food from bread, couscous, flour, and even dried fruit. Sometimes it can be hard to protect dry food from these moths because many can easily crawl inside air tight containers.
